With over 30+ years of experience, we have made it our mission to combine business expertise with a strong sense of social responsibility. By empowering organizations and communities to navigate the complexities of today's ever-changing landscape with simple planning tools, they can create a sustainable path forward (and simply do more good work). We believe that the best strategies are born from diverse perspectives. This involves working to ensure that all the voices driving the work of an organization are involved in crafting its strategic direction, which leads to meaningful action.

We are dedicated to helping small non-profits receive the same support and guidance as their peers with higher operating budgets and greater internal capacity. That is why we launched our program to support small non profits. Every quarter one non-profit organization in the US will receive a complimentary Strategy Sprint facilitated by the team at Craft Strategy Studio.Eligibility: to qualify for this program your organization must be a nonprofit recognized by the IRS with either a 501c(3), c(4), or c(6) designation with an annual operating budget of $250,000 or less. Sean O’Shea
CEO + Co-Founder

Sean O’Shea CEcD, MBA is CEO and cofounder of Craft Strategy. Before working to launch Craft Sean held many roles in the world where economic development and non-profits collide. Sean was a project manager at the Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation before moving to become the program manager at the Santa Fe Business Incubator. Sean has worked with MainStreet organizations, COGS, tribes, cities, counties, entrepreneur support organizations, and other economic development programs across the country. Sean is originally from Philadelphia and now lives in Santa Fe, NM with his wife and two sons.

Kara Q. Smith
CMO + Co-Founder

Kara Q. Smith is an interdisciplinary arts administrator and educator focused on organizational strategy. She has 18 years of experience working with non-profits at the intersection of arts, economic development, and community engagement. She has managed large-scale projects in both the public and private sectors, serves as a mentor to artists/entrepreneurs, and developed collaborations across many sectors. She is passionate about arts and culture, equity and accessibility, community building, and knowledge sharing. Kara holds an MA in Urban Studies from San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA from Birmingham-Southern College. She is currently based in Sacramento, CA.

  • Ron Dimon

    Management & technology consultant

    Ron Dimon has been a technology and management consultant for 30+ years - 12 with Deloitte - focused on Digital Transformation and Enterprise Performance Management, including strategic, financial & operational planning, forecasting, and modeling. Ron has served hundreds of clients in most industries and business functions. He is on the core faculty of UNM's Center for Responsible Entrepreneurship, teaching and mentoring social enterprise start-ups. He is the author of 'Enterprise Performance Management Done Right' (Wiley, 2013), and 'Connected Planning: A Playbook for Agile Decision Making' (Wiley, 2021). Ron leads strategy and marketing at Anavate Partners, a boutique Anaplan consulting firm. He lives in Santa Fe, NM.

    I became a startup wizard, honing my skills in the magical world of launching and growing businesses. My entrepreneurial adventure kicked off when I co-founded Nurses With Heart Home Care. Achieving significant milestones in the homecare and medical sectors, I honed my expertise in the intricate dynamics of startup operations. With a solid foundation in healthcare entrepreneurship, I now devote my efforts to serving small and medium-sized organizations, guiding them toward strategic growth opportunities. My hands-on approach and adept problem-solving skills have proven instrumental in fostering business expansion across diverse organizations.

    Managing Partner, 2MKT ventures

    LeeAnn is the Managing Partner of 2MKT ventures. She is an advisor, executive and independent board director. As managing partner of 2MKT ventures, she leads all client engagements and activities including investments. LeeAnn has over 25 years of business experience, including company management and ownership, company restructuring, operations, investment, and mergers & acquisitions. Her focus is on: Food & Beverage, Food Processing & Food Systems, and Agribusiness. She has also spent many years providing consult to communities and higher education institutions in the areas of: strategic planning, public-private partnerships, and economic development. LeeAnn currently serves on two for-profit boards; is a mentor with Santa Fe Business Incubator and NMSU/Arrowhead Center; and serves as an advisor to Sustainable Ocean Alliance and THRIVE/SVG Ventures.
